Latihan is a Practice of Sacred Listening

At the core of the practice of Latihan is the process of s l o w w w i n g way down and ✨listening.✨

Listening with your whole body.

Listening with your whole being.

Listening moment by moment.

Listening millimeter by millimeter.

Latihan is letting go of knowing what’s coming next, letting go of what you desire, letting go of doing.

It is being moved, rather than moving oneself.

It is a practice of attunement ~ to yourself, to the other beings you may encounter in the unknown, and to the divine mystery itself.

For many this is a new and foreign practice. And even for those of us seasoned in these realms it is a practice to return to, humbly, again and again.

Sometimes we may find ourselves slipping back in to agenda ~ to get, to go for, to grasp, to grab. The meditation of Latihan is to observe ourselves, and when we notice agenda surfacing ~ we to return to stillness, and let go of doing, searching, and trying as many times as we need to.

Latihan is a time to set aside the aspect of you who hungers to take, grab, search, ravish, bite. For though this part of you is holy too, it is soooo often running the show.

In Latihan we invite in the part of you who relishes stillness. Who loves to move at a snail’s pace. The part who yearns for a pause from the breakneck speed of life. The part who’s ready for a journey that happens right here, right now, with zero pushing or proving required.
